American friends Katie and Jay started Brass in 2014 when they were unsatisfied with their wardrobes and wanted a simple, versatile formula for when they got out of bed every day. The result? Some of the best layering pieces I own.

This top is an office wardrobe essential that drapes beautifully and is easy enough to French tuck into high waisted trousers if you’re feeling it. While it IS made of polyester (I prefer natural fabrics), it IS a solid piece if you’ve been struggling to find something for the office that’s easy to throw on.

Made with a Supima Cotton & Merino Wool blend, this layering piece is super soft and the best staple I’ve found on the market for tucking into jeans or adding under a sweater on winter days. Oh, and did I mention these fibres are naturally moisture-wicking and temperature regulating? Bonus.
