ABOUT THESE PIECES
This is where you’ll find pieces I own that are singles from brands I love! They have a special place in my closet, but I only own one item from the company. They’re cherished true heroes in my closet.
Iris Denim // Jet Ski – Black
My favourite jeans are from Canadian maker, Iris Denim. Unfortunately they went out of business in 2019, but their pieces are staples in my closet so I’m including here. You can find them at select stockists or re-sale sites while they last! Linked my fave stockist below.

Alternative Apparel // Day Off Hoodie
Every few years, my dad and I make a trip down to LA to enjoy some sun, good food, and good company. We stay in a little motel that’s been family-run since 1972, with an Italian cafe underneath, and most days we sit on the sun deck watching people clean their cars at the car wash across the street. Once in a blue moon, I’ll allow myself one day to go to Venice and visit a few shops – one of those is Alternative Apparel! Their loungewear is cool, comfy, and literally all I reach for when I want PJs that I can also wear outside.

Alternative Apparel // Long Weekend Terry Joggers
The comfiest lounge pants there ever were. I hate the feeling of my pyjama pants riding up my legs under the sheets, so joggers fit the bill for me. And these ones are cute and comfy!

Will & Bear // Calloway Hat
With every hat purchased, Will & Bear plants ten trees. These Australian hat-makers use 100% natural materials (this hat is all wool, with a leather strap around). Their hats are made in Inner Mongolia, Sri Lanka and China. Each factory is visited by their team and are REACH and SGS approved. I have a small head, so I had to get the small!

L’Envers // Nina Cardigan
Founded by Julie, L’Envers originated out of her desire to re-connect to the family legacy of the Northern French textile industry (her family has been in this industry since 1820)! Now in Spain, Julie works with local knitters and farms to create one-of-a-kind knitwear just like grandma used to make. This cropped merino wool cardigan has been a winter staple of mine all season.

Les Sublimes // Breton Top
The classic Breton stripe, made in France by the last manufacturers of the official navy uniforms that inspired the movement into fashion. In a crisp cotton boxy fit, this top is the quintessential French girl staple. Fits true to size.

Amanda Moss // Penny Tank
This is one of the most worn statement tops in my closet. Even with high-waisted jeans, this top works. Just a casual twist into a French tuck gives it a relaxed, refined shape. Amanda focuses on core silhouettes and offers them in a wide range of colours for all tastes. Fits true to size.

Knots and Pipes // Tassel Earrings
Heather creates her earrings out of reclaimed textiles and tassels from closing factories in Southern Ontario, breathing new life into these materials with a fun statement. Light enough to wear all day, I’ve fallen in love with the subtle swing of these plum darlings.

Miakoda New York // Bamboo Leggings
The comfiest and most breathable leggings I own. I sleep, camp, shop, lounge, cook in these. You name it! Made from a bamboo, organic cotton and spandex blend in New York, NY, they’re breathable and non-toxic for your skin.

Aliya Wanek // Ami Sweatshirt
Hand-dyed with natural materials in California, Aliya Wanek’s sweatshirts are the coziest and have a vintage 1990s texture and vibe. Perfectly lived-in, and the Ami Sweatshirt is a great cropped length for high-waisted pants. She also offers a longer sweatshirt if you’re keen on something with a more traditional length!
